What You Need To Make A Hard Rosemary Lemonade

The ingredient list for this summertime cocktail is straightforward. Here is all you need:

  • Rosemary Simple Syrup: It’s easy to make. Add equal parts of sugar and water, plus 2-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary, to a small saucepan. The extra is for another drink. It keeps up to a week when refrigerated.
  • Fresh Lemon Juice: For one drink, you will need about one lemon.
  • Soda Water
  • Vodka
  • Ice
  • Garnishes

Step-By-Step How To Guide

  • Step 1: Let’s start by making the rosemary simple syrup. In a small saucepan, combine equal parts of sugar and water. Add 2-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary and bring to a simmer. Stir until the sugar has dissolved, then remove from heat. Let the mixture cool with the rosemary still in it. Once cool, measure out 1 ounce and add it to a cocktail shaker.
  • Step 2: Add one ounce of vodka and one ounce of fresh lemon juice to the shaker. Add ice and shake until chilled.
  • Step 3: Pour into a cocktail glass filled with ice and top with a splash of soda water to the top of the glass.
  • Step 4: Garnish with a lemon wedge and a sprig of fresh rosemary.

It is a much better version of hard lemonade than what you can find in a can or bottle. Enjoy it on the next warm summer evening! Give this summertime hard lemonade recipe a try.
