About Us
Fork Loves Spoon is about one of my favorite things in the world: food and enjoying a great meal. You might say a million food blogs are out there, and you would be correct. But Fork Loves Spoon tries to take a casual approach to food and entertaining. Recipes and ideas that are doable while still being delicious and interesting. So join me on a food journey and make the most of your time in the kitchen.
Welcome to Fork Loves Spoon!
Fork Loves Spoon is a spin-off from Fork & Wander (a food and travel blog). As the original Fork & Wander grew, we started offering recipes, which was great until we had lots and lots of recipes. To help make a better user experience, we created a site dedicated to food and entertaining. And that is where Fork Loves Spoon came from.
On this site, you will find the following:
People Who Love To Cook!
This site is produced by regular people who love to cook and bake. Fork Loves Spoon is not a site about one type of food; it’s about food we love. So you will find lots of desserts from cookies to cakes, easy dinner recipes from vegetarian to meaty, healthy options and not-so-healthy options, and cocktails, lots of cocktails (yes, we love a good cocktail).
People who Love To Entertain!
We also love to entertain. We set a mean table, love to arrange flowers, and enjoy plating beautiful food. With years of experience as a boutique retail owner specializing in tabletop, we have great ideas to share with you to make your next party special.
Real Cooking For Real Cooks
Our mission is to create real food on Fork Loves Spoon. So all the recipes are easy to make at home, taste delicious and we have actually made them all. But more importantly, every photo of food on this site is real. It is not created with AI or done by a food stylist, it’s actually what we made and photographed ourselves. Not over styling or massive retouching here.
So when you see something on Fork Loves Spoon, it is real, and it is exactly how it turned out when we made it. Heck, we usually have the table set and are going to sit down to eat the dish right after we photograph it!
Recipes Don’t Need To Be Hard To Be Good!
Some food blogs either try to be too fancy or are so simple that no one would want to eat the food. Here at Fork Loves Spoon, we are trying to find a balance. Food that looks delicious and tastes delicious but doesn’t require special tools or a skill set that is only found in a Michelin-starred kitchen.
On the flip side, we try to make easy food but not fast food. Most things are made from scratch and don’t include overly processed ingredients. We pride ourselves on making homemade recipes, not semi-homemade. And we love fresh ingredients, some of which we grow in our own gardens!
Who Will You Find Cooking At Fork Loves Spoon?
At times, you will see Tim and some helpers in the kitchen. Here are who you might see: they are really good cooks!

Tim
Tim is more of a trial-and-error cook. He loves eating something and then trying to recreate it at home. Which helps him create some of the great recipes found on Fork Loves Spoon.

Mike
Mike’s cooking style is adventurous and daring. He will try anything. He likes it spicy and tends toward international cuisine.

Barbara
Barb is a great baker and a pretty good cook. But her real talents lay in styling. She can set a table and create a centerpiece that will make any occasion special.
